About Me

My name is Ron Boyett.  I am a 1984 graduate of White Oak High School (13 yr Roughneck), a 1988 graduate of Stephen F Austin State University with a Bachelor of Science in Education degree, and an employee at White Oak ISD since the fall of 1988.  From 1988-2016, I taught (17 yrs math, 11 yrs US History) and coached (1992-2016 as head boys basketball) in the high school.  The past 8 years have taught PE and coached 7th grade boys athletics for 7 years at White Oak Middle School.  This will be my first year to lead the Education and Training program at the high school and I no longer coach.

My wife, Desiree Hutchins-Boyett, is head of the WOHS Science department and teaches Anatomy, Physics, and Robotics.  We have been married since 2006.  My daughter, Haley, is a 2021 graduate from Tarleton State University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree and also holds a masters degree in nursing education.  She currently works in home health as well as teaching in the nursing department at Grayson County Community College.  She is engaged to Connor Flanagan who is an assistant baseball coach at Grayson County.
